Welcome to A Swedish Fika

A Swedish Fika is my podcast about Sweden and Swedes hosted by me, PixelPia. You can find the audio episodes here. I am a Swede living in the US since 2003. Moving to a new country makes you look at yourself and your home country in a new way, and I have discovered many things about how being Swedish may look from the perspective of an American. I have also found out how Swedish I am in both a positive and a negative way.

In my podcast, I will take a closer look at Sweden and Swedes, some traditions and habits that might seem strange, funny, and even crazy from an American’s point of view. I am trying to do this light-hearted with no ill attention to my fellow Swedes; after all, I am one.
