Am I unlocking a new path?

Started down a new road

Today I decided to add another path to A Swedish Fika by creating a TikTok. My thought process was that I can do short audio clips where I “teach” my listeners some fun Swedish expressions and what the equivalent would be in American English if there is something similar.
I will probably not post every day here, but hopefully a couple of times a week, with new expressions like “hålla tummarna” which in English would be “cross your fingers” and things like that. I don’t know if there would be any interest in that on TikTok, or if it would attract people to my podcast, but it is worth a try.

Changed my time for going public

I also decided to change the start time for my YouTube version of the podcast. As for right now, the audio version goes public on Sundays at 11 AM CST, and originally I had planned to have the video go public at the same time, but we have the possibility to do a premiere on YouTube, which means that you can watch the video with your audience and have the chat running as you watch. This is a very nice function and I want to take advantage of that possibility, so I changed my start time on YouTube to 8 PM CST.
Maybe I will have to change both these times later on when I see how well they are received, but for now, they work with my personal schedule so that is where I will start.

Changes to this web site

I have also done some smaller changes to this website. I have added two sub-menus to the podcast episode section. That makes it possible for me to showcase the audio episode using the Buzzsprout player on one page and embed my videos on a separate page. This way you can choose to listen to or watch all from this website. I hope that will work out well, but the plug-in I used for the YouTube videos is new to me so we will see how well it works out.
